The system observes the floor with a camera on the ceiling. If there is an object which could be trash, a human is alerted to confirm the object. If the object is garbage, the system collects it for disposal.
2nd Place Super Mezamashi (Alarm Clock)
This is not the typical alarm clock. To wake up a person, an object is dropped and a rotating link hits the sleepy head.
3rd Place 53 Get-to
This system gets garbage from a person's desk and takes it to the garbage can using odometry. The robot senses the garbage can using its bumper and has its own basket mechanism to carry and throw garbage.
